About Karina.

A camera takes a picture, but an outstanding photographer captures the essence of the life in that moment. Karina Hiller, an on location photographer based out of Calgary, Alberta, does that and more. Specializing in maternity, newborn, children, families and weddings, Karina pushes the boundaries of the beauty in a picture into a realm rarely seen. With her artistic eye and simplistic yet stunning style, she turns fleeting memories into tangible keepsakes.

Four years ago, after the birth of her first daughter, the impulse to catch every second of this brand new life lead her to the camera. Soon, it began acting as another limb and her love of photography began to flourish and grow. With hard work, a great amount of passion and the drive to learn and perfect this medium, Karina has fine-tuned this art form into the striking images you will see today.

This dream became reality due to the love, support and encouragement of her amazing husband Jamie, her two little girls, her friends and family and all those who asked her to capture part of their journey. Lane: 18 months

Lane is now just over 18 months and a busy little guy,  just as they all are at this age.  We started out at the park and then headed to their home to get a couple more and got a lot more smiles out of him…I had a great morning, thanks Chris!  Enjoy the sneak peek….I also wanted to mention that I will be in Winnipeg, MB for the next 2 1/2 weeks so if anyone is interested in booking with me please contact me.  Thanks!

Just to Inspire: Photography Workshop by Johnny Tran

Yesterday was Day one of the Just to inspire Workshop by Johnny Tran, you can check out his AMAZING work at  www.jtimages.ca   I have learnt SO much in these last two days especially some of his lighting techniques and it’s totally changed my way of shooting.  I want to send a HUGE Thank you to Johnny and all the amazing models we got to work with and all the wonderful photographers I met.   Thanks for all the inspiration.  Here are a couple of the images I got.
